Consultation with the doctor and donor selection
In order to be able to assess the need for an egg donation, we take a look at your treatment history so far. You talk to the doctor here in the clinic and together you clarify your needs so that we can plan the treatment together with you.
In this conversation we will also deal in detail with the donor status of the egg donor and let you decide which donor type you would like to choose, namely an open egg donor or a non-contactable egg donor.
Regardless of whether you choose an open egg donor or a non-contactable egg donor, the donor will remain anonymous to you for the first 18 years of your child’s life.
It is never possible to find out the identity of the donor if you have chosen a non-contactable egg donor.
An open egg donor has given your child permission to contact the sperm bank when he or she is 18 years old. The sperm bank will then try to establish contact between the child and the egg donor. We will provide the name, date of birth, email address and the address that the egg donor provided at the time of donation if immediate contact cannot be made.
